Hi ! here is my definition of  New Literacies
Knobel and Lankshear (2006) suggest that new literacies are a product of the ‘technical stuff’ available through the use of electronic apparatuses and an accompanying ‘mindset’ that goes with the new and different ways that people can interact, create, produce and distribute items afforded to them by new and developing technology.
This new ‘mindset’ is in tension with a more traditional view of the world that sees and approaches technology as an enabler to do familiar things in more sophisticated ways. Both mindsets coexist simultaneously but with divergent views on the basis of knowledge production.
